Dr Dina Shokry
President, Arab Union of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology
Dr. Shokry is a Professor of Forensic Medicine and Clinical Toxicology –Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University and chair of Forensic medicine Armed Force College of Medicine -Egypt. President of New Mediterranean Academy of Forensic Sciences (nMAFS) . She is the president of the Arab Union of Forensics and Toxicology (AUFT) which is a branch of Arab Medical Union. Prof. Shokry joined the Scientific Advisory Board of the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (OTP- ICC) February, 2014. Prof. Shokry is a roster in JRR and UN Woman, 2015. She is members of the INTERPOL Forensic Science Managers. Prof. Shokry is a board member of the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC). Prof. Shokry is the chair of National Research Ethics Committee (MOHP) she is a board member of the International Association of Body damage (AIDC)-representative of North Africa and Middle East. Prof. Shokry is a board member of the National Committee of Organ Donation and national Committee of research ethics. She is a director and instructor of the training program for Gaza Forensic Doctors and crime scene investigators, Palestine via Arab Medical Union. From 2004 till now she is the editor-in chief of The Egyptian Journal of Forensic Sciences and Applied Toxicology (cited). she is a board member of Research Ethics and clinical research, WHO, Cairo, the Executive Director of Research Ethics Committee, MUST and a board member of the Middle East Clinical Research Association (MECRA), Lebanon. Dr. Shokry is the contact for the DAAD academic activities in Egypt and UNHCR, ICRC and UNFPA (United Nation and International Committee Of Red Cross preventative bodies) forensic consultant in Egypt. Prof. Shokry is a member of ad hoc committees for constructing the medical directory for the Egyptian doctors to deal with the female victims of violence and to put the Egyptian law for malpractice and medical responsibility, 2014. She is a member of the advisory board for evaluation of the scientific researches to promote the forensic sciences academic staff in Egypt and Iraq (Alnahrain University) Prof. Shokry got certificates in Basic and Advanced Security in the Field , 2015 from United Nation Department of Safety and Security(UNDSS). She is one of justice rapid response roasters, professor Shokry accomplished mission in training healthcare providers in Jordan on how to deal with cases of Gender based violence UN Women. She is part of national training program for preparing the physician to manage cases of gender-based violence – UNFPA.
Dr Amr Khattab
Dammam Poison Control Center
Dr Amr has an M.B.B.Ch, Bachelor degree in Medicine & General Surgery, Cairo University, as well as a master’s degree in Forensic medicine and Clinical Toxicology faculty of medicine Cairo University 2011. In 2012 he acquired his ESPEN European Diploma in Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism and an MD degree in Forensic and Clinical Toxicology faculty of medicine Cairo University 2014.
Dr Amr is a Lecturer at the Forensic Medicine & Clinical Toxicology Department, Faculty of medicine, Cairo University from 2015- present. He also lectures at the Clinical toxicology Consultant Dammam poison control center 2019-present.
His practical and research activities extensively cover the fields related to forensic/legal medicine, Clinical toxicology, Analytical toxicology. And also a Coordinator and Organizer of workshops and many scientific conferences.
Dr Nazih Ramadan
Dr Nazih is a lecturer of Forensic Medicine and Clinical Toxicology –Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. Lecturer of medical ethics and law in Faculty of Medicine, Misr University of science and technology (MUST) University and editor for the Egyptian journal of forensic sciences and applied toxicology.
He is a member of the Arab Union of Forensics and Toxicology (AUFT) , American association of clinical toxicology (AACT) and American college of toxicology (ACT)
Dr Noora Al-Snan
Head of DNA Department, Bahrain Ministry of Interior
Dr Noora joined the Ministry of Interior (MOI), Bahrain (2008) as an enthusiastic DNA analyst in General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, FSL and currently assigned as the head of DNA lab.
In 2012, she received her M.S degree in medical biotechnology specializing in genetic engineering for recombinant proteins from Arabian Gulf University (Bahrain). She completed a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology and biochemistry studies from Kuwait University (Kuwait). She completed her PhD in Molecular Medicine in Genetic characterization studies using various DNA techniques at the Arabian Gulf University (AGU) with the cooperation of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (Riyadh, KSA).
She has analyzed and solved many challenging cases mainly related to terrorism, robbery and murder. She is currently assisting in the validation and R&D team. She has attended many conferences and workshops as a speaker and delegated from MOI. She has achieved many outstanding results along with her team as they have obtained the 5th position worldwide for the Gordon Thomas Honeywell DNA Hit of the Year that was held in HIDS Conference in Vienna, Austria (2017).
Several articles are published under her name in population studies and recovery of touch DNA from IEDs. Also she has worked as a reviewer for many other peer-reviewed journals.
She has also set innovative protocols regarding recovery of DNA from RDX-C4 evidence, Forensic DNA intelligence, fast and effective DNA extraction from teeth, bones and maggots.
She is an active member of NAUSS and ISFG. Her main interests are investing in human resources, continuous education and R&D)
Dr Reham Nafad
Dr Reham acquired her Bachelor and Master degrees in Forensic and Clinical Toxicology Faculty of Medicine from Cairo university in 2010 and then 2015. In 2014 Dr Reham completed her PhD degree in the same field from Cairo University.
She is members of the Mediterranean Academy of Forensic Sciences (MAFS) and Arab union of forensics (AUFT).
As of 2016 she is lecturing at the Forensic medicine at the Armed forces college of medicine (AFCM) as well as the lead Lecturer of Forensic medicine and clinical toxicology at the integrated program of kasr al aini (IPKA) Cairo since 2018.
She is responsible for teaching the lectures and tutorial sessions of clinical toxicology and forensic medicine for 4th year students at kasr alaini, IPKA& armed forces college of medicine

Dr Ahmed Fatehy Mehna

Dr.Mehna started his career in EFMA since 2010 at the Central Mourge of Cairo then in many other governorates in Egypt. And currently he is a Member of the Techincal Council of the Chief of Forensic Medical Examiners & head of EFMA since 2017. At the beginning of his career Dr.Mehna expirenced many chalenges as a member of the emergency & mass disaster management team, participating in all mass disasters and catastrophes management in Egypt for the last 10 years. Which earned him a great experience in mass disaster management.
In addition to his great work experience, Dr. Mehna is a certified trainer from ICRC at the field of dealing with dead bodies in mass disasters and a member of the national working group to develop a national mass disaster plan in Egypt. He is Also a certified trainer from UN-ODC at the field of violence against women. Dr. Mehna had a basic & advanced traineeship at the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences (CHARITE – Berlin). In addition, he had many training courses and workshops in many different topics including management of dead bodies in mass disasters, management of nuclear and radiation disasters, migration governance and crime detection. Dr. Mehna was one of the founding members of the Middle East & North African Forensic Network (MENA-FN) since its early beginning, being the Secretary of the network since April 2019.
Professor Abeer Zayed
Prof. Zayed has a wide of experience in the field of Forensic Medicine. She is an active member in many national and international associations of Forensic Medicine. She serves as a reviewer for many international organization as European Scientific Journal & Dove Medical Press. Dr. Zayed acted for several years as the scientific coordinator of the international conference on Domestic Violence organized in Cairo as a conjoint work between Cairo University and Hamburg University.
Throughout her academic life, Prof. Zayed had participated effectively in many educational projects. She is a member of the judgment committee of the academic staff promotion board at the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities.
